TRAVEL WITH WILLIAM


This is not for everyone, but enough people have been asking AND William was so awestruck with the experience of SLEEPING ON THE GREAT WALL and CLIMBING HUA SHAN, that he will be offering a trip for people to join in. *THIS IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION, but email if you are keen. May 2013 maybe? :-)

TRIP INFO:

This is preliminary, and up for discussion too. This is short version.

  • Day 1: You arrive in China. Free day to get settled in. accommodation provided. You cover meals.
  • Day 2: Summer Palace, Wandering and Dinner in Wangfujing. Accommodation provided. You cover meals.
  • Day 3: Start out for great wall. Hike and camp overnight. No accommodation fee since sleeping on Great Wall
  • Day 4: Hike further on great wall to as far as you feel comfy. Leave in afternoon, meal provided once we are off the wall. Dinner of your choice somewhere around ___________ Lake.
  • Day 5: Day in Beijing… you can see Tiananamen, Forbidden City, etc before we take night train to Xian
  • Day 6: Arrive Xian and take bus to Hua Shan. Store big stuff, buy some foods, and start on hike up Hua Shan. Entrance fee included. Food and accommodation on top is pricy but typically neccessary. If we get chance to sleep in our tents would be cool, but I am not sure if it is possible.

    • NOTES:

    A couple things to note…

  • PHONE: If you own your own iphone and it was not subsidized by local phone company you should be able to get a sim card to work your phone in china at cheapear rates. If your phone (like mine) is dedicated to a canadian carrier, you might want to get your phone jailbroken so you can get a local sim prepaid sim card to ensure easy communications. If not it could cost you hundreds of dollars more than it need.
  • TO BRING: You will need a sleeping bag, thermarest, tent between 2 people

      Wow, that sounds like it would be a blast. Schedule depending, I would definitely be interested in something like that!!! Either trip sounds fantastic and I’m sorry I missed your shows in Vancouver this time around as I’ve been away on business in Turkey since May 21st *sigh*…
